09 May Maa, Aayi, Mumma, Mommy, Mom, Amma – the few names of a mother!
“You’ll know when you have your own”
This statement was an everyday thing in our home. Fun, Chaos, Joy, Laughter, Fights, just like yours, my childhood was also all this and more. And today, when I’m experiencing the same myself, it comes with a bag full of mixed feelings.
And it comes true, all this I have realized only after being a mother myself.
Somedays, I want to relax but feel like I’ll waste time, so I’d rather play with her.
There are days when I feel like I’ll get a breather when I reach work, but end up scrolling her pictures in my phone ‘coz I’m missing her.
I’ve cried and laughed at the same time!!
And sometimes I wish my daughter has my mother’s soul, so I can repay what she’s done for me, made me who I am today, given me gifts that no one can ever take from me.
While I was writing this today and just picked my cup of tea, she pooped!!
This is Motherhood – Funny, Exhausting and Full of Love!
To the woman who’s soaking it in with every new day, to the one trying to be one, to the new mothers, to one’s waiting to deliver, to the one who’s got to hold her child after years of trying, to the one who’s nurturing a child – Happy Mother’s Day!!
Let’s teach our children to be kind and to be able spread love and only love.
