In life, some things can give you immense happiness..and when the same happiness is received in the morning, it’s a blessing. This happiness is called ‘Pancakes’ 🙂
Tried over the years, this is a simple quick recipe with pantry staples. I’m sure you’ll want to give it a try.
I call it 1:1 recipe. Here is why –
Ingredients –
1 cup whole wheat / multi purpose flour
1 egg (room temperature)
1 cup milk
1 tsp baking powder
1 tsp vanilla essence
1 tbsp sugar (powdered)
Butter for greasing
1 banana (for topping)
Feel free to use any toppings – Banana, Nutella, maple syrup, honey, corn flakes, etc. Just add whatever you like 🙂
Put all the ingredients together in a bowl (apart from butter and toppings) and whisk them together into a smooth batter. Do Not over whisk. The batter needs to be thick runny, not watery.
Grease the pan with butter, pour one big ladle of batter in the center of the pan. Don’t spread the batter. Let it spread. In a few seconds, when you see bubbles coming through on the top side, flip it. Let it cook and tadaaaa, it’s done!!
Slice some bananas and add a drizzle of maple syrup or honey. Alternatively you could add any other fruit, muesli, corn flakes, nutella, the list is endless 🙂
Don’t forget to share your pancake pictures with me!! 🙂
